Today is the first day the team began work at the Chongwe site.  As the saying goes “This is Africa” and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the build project is well ahead of schedule.  This means that the team will began work on the 2nd school building rather than the children’s homes.

Praise God for His provision in getting this project underway and allowing a target of having it operational come January.

We will also be working on finishing touches for the 2 homes and have completed 1st coat of paint on one of the homes.

We are excited to have a hectic week ahead of us

Hello All,

We’ve arrived safely to Lusaka yesterday.  We’re slowly getting caught up on sleep and the team is gearing up to get into the swing of things.

This morning we attended the Chongwe church where we were welcomed cheerfully by the congregation.  The service was amazing and the  choir great, there is much to learn from African worship!

We later went for lunch with Al & Geneva (VOH-Chongwe Directors) and Sergio and Nancy.  We’re looking forward to what can be learned and gleened from their leadership.
